Electracoustic is more of a feeling than a movement or a musical genre. There's no specific physical location where you can hear this music, or a particular genre-defining pigeon hole in which to place it. This music is just happening all over the world. Perhaps there's a virtual community, brought together by the love of new music, great songs and modern sounds out there somewhere?. If not, maybe there will be after this album. The Electracoustic ethic is really just about some dudes getting together to make beautiful, intimate and often affecting music. Using old skool instruments like acoustic guitars and drums, but mixing it up, naturally, with electronics, synths, drum machines and DJ effects. The aim: make something that sounds now enough for a city dwelling hipster to enjoy but deep enough and meaningful enough for older folksters to get deep into, and just weird enough for post-clubbers to get horizontal to too.
