In The Big Auto Plant, viewers will be taken around the world to see everything that goes into the creation and manufacture of a new car. Starting in the designing studios in Germany and ending at the construction plant in Alabama, we will see the design and manufacture of a new Mercedes-Benz. Beginning by creating an original blueprint, we move on to the construction of a prototype vehicle to test the practical engineering of the car. After this test models are built, and the new vehicle is put through vigorous safety, weather and road condition tests. When this is finalized, it's time to go into production! We'll see how the results of these blueprints and test models are transformed into a new public vehicle piece-by-piece as it moves down the assembly line in a Mercedes factory in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In addition, there is a special animated section showing just how a car engine works! The Big Auto Plant is a fun learning experience designed for children, but presented in such a way that it can be both enjoyable and informative for adults as well!
