Theres a saying that everything old is new again. The same could be said for Toronto, Ontarios The First Time. The band had just recorded an album with the award-winning producer Warne Livesey (Midnight Oil, Matthew Good, Jesus Jones) and were about to embark on tour when lead vocalist Manfred Sittmann & bassist Mike Macmillan left the band to start families. Remaining members Stacey Washington (drums) and James Whitton (guitar) called an old friend in former Strawman vocalist/guitarist Ron McJannet and auditions were held to find new bassist Norm Petroff. Everything old WAS new again. Without skipping a beat the new line up released an EP, toured Japan for 10 days and left there with a video in high rotation. In 2007 they are back with 'TakingBreakingDown' produced by Canadian music icon Andy Curran (Coney Hatch, Soho 69), and 2006 Juno Award winner, Vic Flourencia. They will be touring Canada, The US , Japan and Europe in 2007.
