When scam artist Harry Reynolds gets out of jail, he makes his way to quiet little coastal village of Beachport, where, according to local legend, an old Portuguese treasure ship lies buried in the sand. Harry is a pro when it comes to manipulating situations to his advantage. Soon, the Beachport residents, eager to invest in Harry's get-rich-quick scheme, ply him with more money than he's ever seen. But Harry never anticipated how deeply he would be affected by the relationship that he develops with a young boy and his mother.
