Release number ten from Sweet Mother Records/Neverstop continues with the successful Standard Sounds series which is inspired by the music and ambience of the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood, California. Straight Up & Dirty takes its cues from the bar that recently opened at the hotel. DJ Nasir takes you through a funky musical journey with an ultra-rare UFO remix of the classic Jackson Five's "Hum Along and Dance", Aretha Franklin's "Rock Steady" and MJ Cole two step rendition of De La Soul and Chaka Khan's "All Good". The CD also contains an exclusive remix of Mystic's "The Life" produced by DJ Nasir himself. Deelite's Lady Miss Kier also contributes to the cause with an exclusive track which is aptly titled "I'm Not Staying At Home".
