Pixel is the happy meeting, playful and sensual, between the movement of the dancer and illusions of projection. The work of choreographer Mourad Merzouki, artistic director of Compagnie Käfig, is animated by a desire for openness to the world, a mix of disciplines and an insatiable curiosity. Merzouki said of this release, "beyond video projections, I wanted the music of Armand Amar come to rest on the choreography and image as an additional invitation to travel. Accompanying the performers, it highlights the energy just as much as poetry, inhabiting the bodies of the dancers."
