FILTH AND WISDOM is a funny, sexy and poignant tale of three roommates who must delve into mischievous and naughty behavior in pursuit of bigger and brighter futures. Charismatic, mustachioed Ukrainian immigrant, A.K. (Eugene Hutz), finances his dreams of 'trans-continental superstardom' with his band, Gogol Bordello, by turning tricks as a role-playing cross-dresser. As A.K. literally whips the privileged of London into shape, he also secretly pines for the object of his affection, Holly (Holly Weston), an aspiring ballerina looking for her big break while moonlighting as a stripper. Meanwhile, Juliette (Vicky McClure) steals medicine from her pharmaceutical job in hopes of fulfilling her life-long dream of helping Africa?s youth. Set in London and featuring raucous music and performances from eclectic Gypsy-punk band Gogol Bordello, FILTH AND WISDOM is about the journey and not the destination that counts the most - and these intertwined, intersecting lives explore an inevitable truth: that a path paved with filth will often end in wisdom; and one paved with wisdom will likewise often end in filth.
