Yorn, an unremarkable farm boy, dreams of traveling to the island-city of Eden that drifts above his planet--until he's caught in a deadly adventure. Long ago, the God-Hunter, a human with exceptional powers, slew the tyrannical God of this world. Yorn doesn't realize he is also a God Hunter. When Yorn is attacked by a woman with razor claws, he's saved by Elisiss, an elf-girl who transforms into an older, curvier version of herself. Eden's Bowy is an odd mixture of science fiction adventure and sword-and-sorcery fable, and its settings shift from futuristic laboratories to European peasant villages to a '50s American dance hall. The narrative is completely disjointed, with at least two stories unfolding simultaneously. The flashes of visual imagination--presenting the story of the God Hunter as a mural and a dance-drama--can't redeem the incomprehensible plot.
