As this bubblegum soap opera continues, Akari and Yuki discover they're long-lost sisters who were abandoned on Hokkaido 14 years ago--and they have a third sister, but no one knows where her adoptive family is. Akari's boyfriend Kaito is killed saving a small child's life. But he crops up in so many fantasies and she talks to him so much about pursuing her dream of becoming a singer, he's more in evidence than when he was alive. Akari, Yuki, and Nozomi become "R3" ("Resonance 3") and enter a major record company's rookie audition, competing against brittle, underhanded Jun, who's determined to succeed at any cost. Of course, the trio wins the audition and the chance to make a record, but their victory would be more convincing if the music tracks were more distinctive.
