Young research physician, Cassie, suffers from narcolepsy and is part of a team developing a serum for the disorder. On the day the drug is ready, Cassie meets with a reporter Turner who is covering the story, but then trial subjects start to die unexpectedly. Cassie finds one of the test dogs alive and realizes the drug doses were tainted. Fleeing the lab Molly has to kill an FBI agent on her tail. Cassie calls Detective Logan but fears his intentions and calls Turner for help. On the run, fighting to stay awake, Cassie doesn't know where to turn whilst she tries to solve the mystery.
