A PASSAGE TO OTTAWA is a sweet-natured coming-of-age drama directed by Bombay-born filmmaker Gaurav Seth. Seven-year-old Omi (Nabil Mehta) has been sent from India to live with relatives in Canada at the behest of his terminally ill mother. With the help of his cousin Safia (Amy Sobol), Omi attempts to find a superhero who will cure his mother--and he thinks he may have found one in the form of a charismatic boat captain named Roland (Canadian TV actor Jim Codrington).
