As this six-part OAV concludes, the plot shifts from fighting crime to saving the galaxy from destruction. The six oddballs of the Meltylancer team discover they, the Vanessers, and the Defiants are pawns in a gargantuan plot. Iyonesco, an apparently infinitely powerful alien child who was tormented in biomedical experiments, plans to remake much of the known universe to suit her wishes. Characters and story threads appear and disappear as the plot careens along. When an artificially created disruption of time and space threatens to destroy them, the Meltylancers are somehow teleported to safety--except for Angela, who is teleported by Rufus, the only other surviving member of her species. Things eventually get resolved--sort of--but everyone might have been better off if Mr. Collins had chosen to remain in prison in episode 1.
