Product description 20 Track Album Standard-issue reggae braggadocio from a standard-issue reggae braggart. The modestly-named Mr Vegas appears on the sleeve draped in more gold than many South American nations have in their national reserves, and labours for 20 rarely disagreeable--but ultimately rather wearying--tracks to convince the listener what a hell of a chap he is. Mark Morrison is probably the closest reference point, though Mr Vegas's reggae has a more rootsy feel to it. He shares with Morrison, however, a neurotic worry that anybody might mistake him for anything other than a man who won't be messed with: so hard is the point pressed on "Nah Bow Down" and "Hit Him Back," among others, that it can only be wondered what he's hiding. --Andrew Mueller
