The Team Canada Skills of Gold DVD Series presents state-of-the-art hockey development instruction and has been developed by Hockey Canada, an international leader in player development and coach education. The footage was filmed in Edmonton, Alberta over a two-year period, working with minor hockey players from the area. Skills of Gold breaks down the most important skills of hockey for coaches and players, in a clear and easy-to-follow format and is designed to improve the skills of hockey players of all ages and skill levels. DVD 1 Skating: Develops a player's skating ability with instruction in balance, agility, edge control, starting and stopping, forward skating, backward skating, turning and crossovers. DVD 2 Puck Control: Improves a player's ability to control the puck with instruction for both stationary and moving puck control, as well as stationary and moving passing and receiving.
