In this 1939 film directed by Joseph Kane (the Arizona Kid), cowboy legend Don "Red" Barry co-stars as Jesse James, who is framed for a bank robbery committed by the banker himself, Sam Wyatt (Arthur Loft). Hired by the Bankers' Association, Roy poses as an ex-con to infiltrate the legendary James-Younger gang, but railroad detective Capt. Worthington (Harry Woods) is just using Roy, to try to get the reward for himself.
